Crate chair

Wooden crates were made to transport goods. After use, the wood was then usually discarded. Rietveld found that a sin and designed a chair from the old crates. With the scarce resources that he had at his disposal, he made use of the crate wood for this chair to put his ideology into practice: beauty must be accessible to all and simplicity its main characteristic.
